Aridair - portable climate control - bespoke heating equipment

Drying for agricultural and food processes

Grain harvesting

When an Aridair unit is used, earlier harvesting is possible. After wet spells, the farmer normally has to wait till the crop dries out, but with Aridair, harvesting and threshing can take place when the grain's moisture content is as high as 20%.

The grain can then be dried and stored, which gives several advantages:
  • Highest weight and quality of grain for sale
  • Reduction in damage from weather and wildlife
  • Earlier start of weed control
  • Eliminates costs of extra combines and labour
  • Prevents spoiling from moisture and infestation during storage
Food and confectionery

In the food and confectionery industry, Aridair can achieve better drying times, an identical production climate throughout the year and consistent high product quality. Here are just a few examples of processes that can benefit from Aridair.

Controlled air humidity is essential when coating confectionery. If the humidity is too high, quality suffers and individual chocolates can stick to each other. If the air is dry, the products will cool more quickly and packaging is greatly improved.

If the humidity is too high, ingredients like sugar can turn lumpy. For both storage and processing, controlled climate is essential.

Smoked fish can lose weight during the curing process, but this can be prevented by first drying with hot air.

Making and storing cheese requires strict climate control. Both humidity and temperature have to be maintained within fairly narrow limits to ensure good, consistent quality.

Dry products like instant soup and sauces are equally demanding. Ingredients mustn't be allowed to lump or stick to the packaging.

For all food processing, Aridair can provide the ideal climate, totally consistent from season to season.
